Flax exports are often slow early in the marketing year and so far, 12,000 tonnes have been exported, compared to the 10 year average of 24,000 tonnes. Most of this year’s exports occurred in shipping week 3 out of Thunder Bay. The remainder has been smaller volumes into the US. Inventories at terminals suggest quiet trade will continue in the short-term.
