Flax exports have started 2015/16 more slowly than previous years, but volumes have picked up the past two weeks. In shipping week 13, nearly 20,000 tonnes moved off the west coast and another 10,000 tonnes went through Thunder Bay in week 14. This suggests that the outlook is somewhat better than some of the most pessimistic export forecasts.
