In the past two weeks, flax bids in western Canada have seen modest gains and North Dakota prices have moved higher. This recent strength however could simply be a seasonal move, with the normal tendency to peak in late April. The seasonal pattern shows that flax bids tend to move lower from this point until harvest as demand slows and farmer selling is steady.
