Flax exports improved the past few weeks, compared to the average pace. As of shipping week 51, bulk licensed exports hit 365,000 tonnes, 40,000 tonnes above the 5-year average pace. Even so, this year is still running 85,000 tonnes behind last year’s levels. The largest reason for this slowdown is weaker demand from the US due to its large 2015 crop.
