Final StatsCan exports for 2015/16 are now in, showing 633,000 tonnes for the year, compared to 708,000 tonnes in 2014/15. Exports to China were stable at 351,000 tonnes while European demand was slightly lower than last year at 146,000 tonnes. The largest drop occurred to the US where exports were 94,000 tonnes compared to 149,000 tonnes the previous year.
