The asking price for linseed in Rotterdam has declined to US$440 per tonne, the lowest level since April 2009. This latest decline is another part of the overall downtrend for European prices that’s been going on since early 2013. The main reason for weaker European price’s is the availability of large supplies from Russia and Kazakhstan, where the 2015 crop is large again.
