The earlier 2015 production estimate by StatsCan together with carryover from the previous year would have put Canadian 2015/16 flax supplies just under 1.0 million tonnes. More recent production estimates from Sask Ag show a higher yield and larger production. The result of that larger crop estimate would be to boost flax supplies closer to 1.1 million tonnes.
