In the past few weeks, flax bids in western Canada have turned sideways after declines of roughly $2.00 per bushel. This stability has occurred as farmer selling has subsided following harvest. In the US, bids are lower still but are rising. It’s worth noting that the low Canadian dollar has added nearly $2.00 per bushel, compared to the Canadian dollar at par with the US dollar.
