Last week, farmer flax deliveries picked up a bit following the holiday break, but flax is going into its typical midwinter slowdown. Stocks in country and terminal elevators are shrinking, more than normal. Some flax is still moving toward the west coast to fill Chinese demand but US imports are slower and the closed Seaway means no bulk purchases from Europe.
