Chart of the Week
Over the past six weeks, flax has been moving fairly steadily from country elevators to Thunder Bay ahead of an export shipment to western Europe. This is very typical for this time of year but is a positive sign, given increased competition from Black Sea origins. Volumes to the west coast have declined recently but that uneven pace isn’t unusual and isn’t worrisome.
