In March, Canadian flax exports rebounded from a February lull, rising well above the 5-year average. The largest gain was seen in Chinese purchases but US imports were also higher, more in line with average monthly totals than earlier in 2015/16. In March, European volumes remained low but April exports through Thunder Bay will improve that situation.
