For most of 2016/17, farm deliveries of flax have been well below average levels. Exports have been able to keep up with previous years only because of large commercial inventories to start 2016/17. In the past few weeks however, deliveries have picked up as bids have increased and movement to Thunder Bay has restarted prior to the Seaway freezing up.
