February 2, 2017 Flax Chart, Flax News 0 Comments Earlier this month, the USDA issued its estimate of the 2016 US flax crop at 220,000 tonnes, down 14% from the previous year. Seeded acreage had been 19% lower than the year before but the record yield partly offset the smaller planting base. Despite the drop in production, the 2016 crop is still toward the higher end of production levels for the past 10 years.
