April 26, 2017 Flax Chart, Flax News 0 Comments In its Seeding Intentions report, StatsCan estimated 2017 flax seeded area at 1.115 million acres. That’s 19% larger than last year, but well below the prior two years and is 100,000 acres less than the 5-year average. This seeded area raises the possibility of tighter supplies in 2017/18, although the final yield result will play a large role in the outlook.
