July 6, 2017 Flax Chart, Flax News 0 Comments Last week, StatsCan estimated flax seeded area at 1.04 million acres, down from the planting intentions estimate of 1.115 million. This acreage is up 11% from last year but is still below the 5-year average of 1.24 million acres. While this estimate helps provide a starting point for the 2017/18 outlook, yield variability is more important for crop production.
